Laying of Foundation Stones – Junior School Rooms

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the foundation stones for the new junior school rooms were laid in a solemn and meaningful ceremony. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Parish Priest, Fr. Amir; the Principal, Sister Akhtar Buta; the Vice Principal, Mrs Noreen Silas; Sister Rebecca; and the contractor, Mr Fiaz.

Fr. Amir led the gathering in a heartfelt prayer, invoking blessings for the continued prosperity of the school, its students, and teachers. He also prayed for the Presentation Sisters and their mission, asking God to guide and protect their noble work. Following the prayer, he blessed the construction site with Holy Water, dedicating the building project to divine protection and success.

To mark the blessed occasion, sweet treats were distributed among the staff and workers, adding a touch of joy and celebration to the day.

Blessing Ceremony of Renovation and Construction

October 7th marked a momentous occasion in the history of Presentation Convent School, Rawalpindi, as the institution celebrated the Blessing Ceremony of its newly renovated and constructed blocks. This milestone event follows last year’s successful renovation of the middle section, marking another significant step in the school’s ongoing commitment to providing a world-class learning environment.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of His Excellency Dr Joseph Arshad, Archbishop of the Diocese of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Reverend Sisters, Fathers, and distinguished guests.

The reception prayer was a heartfelt appeal to the Almighty, seeking blessings and guidance for the institution and its community.

The Vice Principal, Mrs Noreen Silas, delivered a warm welcome address, extending a heartfelt welcome to His Excellency Dr Joseph Arshad, the Reverend Sisters, and all distinguished guests.

The school choir presented a beautiful hymn, singing in praise of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and seeking her guidance and protection.

The Class 7 students presented a powerful performance, inspiring the community to renew their commitment to faith, learning, and service, aligning with the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ for 2025.

Sister Akhtar Buta, our respected Principal, delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the importance of faith, hope, and service in the school community. She emphasized the school’s commitment to providing a nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence, spiritual growth, and personal development.

The Class 3 students presented an impressive PT display, showcasing their discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness. The Class 4 students presented a captivating cultural performance, showcasing the rich heritage of Punjabi culture. The performance was accompanied by traditional Punjabi music, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The highlight of the ceremony was the release of balloons, symbolizing joy, peace, and the vibrancy of the school community. The members of the student council brought the balloons in the colours of their houses, adding a touch of excitement and pride to the occasion. Simultaneously, the ribbon cutting ceremony took place, marking the official opening of the newly upgraded netball ground, where the programme was held. His Excellency Dr Joseph Arshad, along with our respected Principal, Sister Akhtar Buta, released the balloons and cut the ribbon, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the school’s history.

His Excellency’s words of wisdom and blessings resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing the importance of faith, hope, and service.

The choir sang a beautiful song of blessing, filling the atmosphere with joy and gratitude.

A spectacular fireworks display at the admin block added to the festive atmosphere and marked the beginning of the unveiling ceremony. His Excellency Dr Joseph Arshad, along with the distinguished guests, proceeded to unveil the plaque in the admin block, marking the official opening of the newly renovated and constructed blocks. His Excellency offered a prayer, cut the ribbon, and unveiled the plaque, seeking divine guidance and protection for the institution.

The Archbishop’s blessings extended to the Principal’s office, the Vice Principal’s office, and the classrooms, invoking wisdom, compassion, and creativity. As he blessed the classrooms, the students presented him with a bouquet of flowers, showing their gratitude and appreciation for his blessings.

Father Amir, Rector of the Catholic Cathedral, was requested to pray in the junior block, seeking divine guidance and protection for the students and staff. The Archbishop blessed the new construction in the junior school, marking the completion of the renovation and construction project.

The ceremony concluded in the school hall, where Mrs Ashi, Coordinator Junior Middle Section, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to Archbishop Dr Joseph Arshad for gracing the occasion. A token of love and gratitude was presented to His Excellency Archbishop Joseph Arshad. Mrs Ashi also thanked Mr. Peter, CFO of the Presentation Sisters, for his support and guidance in legal matters, and presented him with a token of thanks. Mr Anil Fayaz, the contractor, was recognised for his hard work and dedication in completing the school’s renovation and construction project, and was presented with a token of appreciation. The ceremony included a cake-cutting ceremony, where His Excellency Dr Joseph Arshad and Sister Akhtar Buta marked the special occasion.

The community expressed heartfelt thanks to His Excellency Dr. Joseph Arshad for his gracious presence and blessings, and to their beloved Principal, Sister Akhtar Buta, for her visionary leadership and tireless efforts in transforming the school into a modern and vibrant institution.
